Glorious

Despite it's decidedly short length this is a very impressive, very thatrical composition. It gives me an image of space marines getting onto ships and slowly flying away after winning a serious battle.

Great stuff.

I would actually really love to SEE how you compose as I would like to make music similar to yours, this is sort of a lot to ask but would you be opposed to doing a few youtube tutorials showing the things you use and how to use them?

Also could you verify me in the audio portal?

This certainly is well mastered, I love the odd sound that kicks in around 48-50 seconds.

I'm surprised a one minute loop took 3 hours though, were there a lot of complexities in the mixing and mastering?

Decibel responds:

Thanks for the review ;]
Yes, there were a lot of complexities, especially in the mastering.

Gotta lov Chiptune.

Great melody in this...Although there are the ocasionally odd placed notes or very heavy hitting and hard on the ear kinda notes, this is a solid track.

Calamaistr responds:

retro filter does that :p
its the sharpness.

Surreal Chill-Hop

Very chill ip hop beat you've got here. I really like it, you should ask one of NG's rappers to rap over it. THis song really has potential...it's very reminscent of KiD CuDi kind of stuff, like surreal ,odd, but still has hip hop elements.

sandordude responds:

it's not really odd or surreal to me.. but thanks :D

Keep it up guys.

I really love how hard the drums kick in, but I think that perhaps because of this the guitars fall a bit flat and unable to hear at some points. It's also a bit repetive and simplistic, nothing spectacular in the guitar riffing but practice makes perfect. Keep at it.

Kayoszx responds:

Yeah I know my guitar playing is amateur, lol.
I've played drums longer than I have guitar, and guitar longer than I have bass -
So all the playing in my songs are a little on the simple side. I haven't exactly become extremely good at one particular instrument, but rather decent at every instrument.
Thanks for the review! :P

Continue working hard

THe first portion of the song sounds like something the people at the jersey shore would love. You have a tendency to add new aspects and then take them away leaving only the kick at some points, it's interesting, I'm a big fan of open space in music, but you also tend to make some sort of melody or beat and get far too satisfied with it and just loop it over and over again too much before you move into your NEXT over looped melody.

Work on more variation in melodies and perhaps adding more elements to the background of the music to add atmosphere.

Nice satire here...

I love the almost helicopter like sound in the beginning. It is apparent that this is some kind of joke or insult to dubstep, but honestly it's pretty alright. I like the really oddly placed notes and the glitchy sound to it.

Enjoyable dood.

EricFreeman responds:

lol thanks, bro. I was thinking of actually trying on a dubstep song since the feedback to this song has been so positive.

A noble attempt

You show many similar traits to new composers. the use of basic instruments and the typical layering a new sound every 10 seconds or taking one off and then putting it back on every now and then.

For your first track ever it is exceptional. I really like the change at 1.30ish

Keep it up, work hard.
